Lightship 2000 Goleulong

_

example

The Christian Lightship, berthed in the Roath Basin, is an exciting venture in which the churches in Wales work together.

Commissioned by Trinity House in 1953, the 550 ton lightship , for years in the Bristol Channel, finished her working life off the Gower peninsula. The beam from her light tower, visible for 25 miles, warned of dangerous sandbanks.

The Lightship's volunteer staff welcome visitors every day of the year; beautiful little chapel, conference room, galley and lounge for delicious refreshments. The Chaplain for Cardiff Bay is based on board.
