Spacious barn-like church, 1895 'magnum opus' , or 'great work' ,of architect George Halliday, built for the railway men of Cathays and their families. Perpendicular style, huge west window, arcades and clerestory. Impressive raised sanctuary: Crucifixion window by Kempe & Tower (1920), fascinating triptych reredos in Arts & Crafts style by John Coates Carter, full of Cardiff landmarks. Beautiful carved timber Agnus Dei altar frontal. Modern Stations of the Cross, fine 1886 Vowles organ. Home to St Teilo Arts community project; excellent acoustic for concerts and recitals.
